bagging up roast 002
I'm having what can only be described as an 'ah ha' moment over my morning coffee on this fine Saturday.
Yesterday we roasted Ruby's first and second batches on our old French machine.
I'm drinking roast 0002, Colombia Nariño Aguacate and it is undeniably one of the best cups I've ever had.
All the dreams of the last few years, nights laying awake, the support and love from friends and family. The hard work of coffee producers around the world. The real magic of watching pipes and conduit and cables and flanges, motors, relays and all that become something together. I keep telling my buddy it's legos for grownups.
And it's a feeling like none other. To feel ideas becoming not just real, but something so tangible as this sweet, delicious coffee.
Doing it all my way (with SO much help).
So here's to dreams and goals, community, creativity. And here's to my Grandma Ruby and new life. Colorful Coffees, coming soon. Forward.
