Thanks to the great support of all you lovely folks we have been having a very busy couple of weeks/months! We're having a ton of fun doing what we love to get you the best coffees.
Some fresh arrival coffees are hitting the menu and we're already saying goodbye to some of our other favorites.
Right now we have a beautiful new Ethiopia Yirgacheffe that is complex, dense, floral, and just outstanding (Chelelektu) and soon we'll be releasing another Yirgacheffe with a slightly different profile and then we also have a little something special coming from a third Yirgacheffe. All releasing in June so stay tuned.
Our first Kenyan coffee is just about gone and we'll be replacing it with a gorgeous peaberry lot that is super winey and complex. Such a fun coffee.
Decaf. I just can't say enough about how great our new decaf Los Idolos is. It's fruity, complex, and lingering. You would never guess it is decaf and it is by no means a step down experience, which is such a rarity.
In the coming days I'll be releasing another first- a pulped natural Brazilian coffee from Carmo de Minas that is extremely soft and elegant. Very chocolatey. If you liked the Sulawesi this may be up your alley.
In other news, we have some amazing customers that just came on board! You can now find our coffees in Omaha, Seattle, Portland, Madison area, Grand Rapids (sometimes), Eau Claire (soon), and Austin (soon) and of course regionally in Central Wisconsin. WOW. Thank you all so much! Email me firstname.lastname@example.org if you think a shop in your area would be a good fit or if you would like to know when and where to buy coffee nearest you.
We have a blossoming partnership with a new business called Perfect Coffee aimed at bringing exceptional coffee to a broader audience. It's pre ground, pre dosed using recipes that I've created to help realize the best potential of my roasts. So far we have been really impressed. For folks that don't have a nice grinder or who travel a bunch it is great to have an alternative.
We've been working on a collaboration with Underground Butcher to bring the Madison market fresh, lively cold brew coffee. It's actually a recipe we've been toying with that involves a hot bloom and then a rapid chill to get a more balanced brew. Swing by their store on Willy St. to try a little buddy.
Later in June I'll be doing a coffee brewing demo at the Midwest Renewable Energy Association's Energy Fair in Custer, WI. We will also have a booth set up in the farmer's market area where visitors and attendees can chat with us and grab something cold to drink and buy some beans.
Okay, gotta go warm up the roaster! Thanks for the support.
