We were very happy with our first release from Konga this year so we decided to track down another one to bring it back to the menu.
This lot is also produced by the Konga Cooperative, which is part of the greater Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union.
Production and processing is typical of the area: many small holder farmers at very high altitudes, heirloom landraces/cultivars, fully washed, sun dried on raised beds.
These factors all contribute to a cup that is especially rich, dynamic, and complex.
Like all of our offerings (except Creamery), we roast this Konga with filter/drip/press preparation in mind.
In the dry fragrance expect fruity, berry scents with a definite presence of piney and floral qualities.
Brews offer flavors of Earl Grey tea with undertones of blackberry and lemonade.
